MONTREAL - Kenya are set to be declared in breach of the World Anti-Doping Agency's rules, meaning some of the world's top athletes could miss the Rio Olympics, sources close to WADA's executive committee said on Thursday.

WADA's executive committee, which met behind closed doors on Wednesday, have recommended that the east African nation be declared 'non-compliant' with the global body's doping regulations.
WADA are set to endorse this decision by a vote of its board of trustees, expected on Thursday afternoon at their Montreal headquarters, following a report of the Compliance Committee.
Kenya have already missed two WADA deadlines to show they are tackling doping in sport, with IAAF president Sebastian Coe threatening to suspend their athletes from the August 5-21 Olympics if the country is found to be 'non-compliant' which is currently the case for Russia.
Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta signed a new anti-doping law on April 22, which it had been hoped would allow the African athletics powerhouse to be given the green light by WADA. Kenya finished top on the medals table at last year's world championships in Beijing,
But this has apparently not proved sufficient to satisfy WADA, with the compliance committee recommending that Kenya should be declared in breach of its code.
