Verstappen tops F1 testing in Spain

MONTMELó (SPAIN) - Dutch teenager Max Verstappen, fresh from becoming the youngest ever winner of a Formula One race, backed up that performance with the fastest time in testing in Barcelona on Wednesday.

Verstappen, who triumphed at the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday, was powered by a new engine in his Red Bull which could be used for the first time next time out in Monaco or in Canada.

McLaren reserve Stoffel Vandoorne was second fastest with Germany's Pascal Wehrlein taking his Mercedes to third place.
