>>Promoted Sukhothai may not be scripting a Leicester City of their own but they have started giving Thai League giants like SCG Muang Thong United the cold feet.

Muang Thong coach Totchtawan Sripan has admitted his league leading Kirins are wary of the threat that Sukhothai pose to them in their clash tonight at SCG stadium.

Muang Thong are in the top spot with 30 points, and Sukhothai, who were expected to spend their time in the top league in the drop zone, are surprisingly in fourth place with 24 points.

Sukhothai have so far fared better than defending champions Buriram United who are fifth with 22 points from 12 matches.

Totchtawan told reporters that he was not taking Sukhothai for granted.

"It will be a tough match for our team because Sukhothai are doing very well in the Thai League," said Totchtawan. "They have very good team work which has lifted them to fourth place. We must stay focused against them."

Totchtawan added: "There is a long way to go in the season and we are not setting any big targets. We are taking things on a match by match basis, trying to claim three points from every game."

Muang Thong's strike force will be led by their in-form forwards Cleiton Silva, Teerasil Dangda and Adisak Kraisorn.

Sukhothai coach Somchai Chuayboonchum said: "This is an important match for our team. Muang Thong have many good players. Our players must believe in our tactics so that we can spring a surprise.

"We know that we are the underdogs but we have a plan. Some of their key players like Chanathip [Songkrasin], Tanaboon [Kesarat] and Peerapat [Notechaiya] are known to me, so it should be a good match."

In another big match this weekend, Bangkok Glass host Buriram United at their Leo Stadium.

Bangkok Glass coach Anurak Srikerd said: "We are expecting a tough match. Buriram may not be as strong as they were last season, but we cannot underestimate them as they still have many good players. We hope to beat them."

Buriram manager Tatthep Pitakpoolsin said: "Although we have lost Theerathon Bunmathan [to Muang Thong], we still have Naruebodin Weerawatnodom to replace him. Of course, Theerathon will be missed but this is football. We have to keep on moving forward and we hope to win this match."

The Thunder Castle have failed to win in their last three games and suffered a shock home loss to Army United last week.
