Second-quarter riots erode BECL's revenue growth to a slim 1%
Bangkok Expressway (BECL) has slashed this year's revenue growth target in half to just 1% due to the impact of the political unrest in Bangkok in the second quarter.
Senior general manager Panan Tosuwanthaworn told investors at a briefing yesterday that the company was hopeful of a rebound in the second half of the year thanks to the easing political tensions and improving economy.
First-half revenues rose by 2% year-on-year to 3.87 billion baht for a net profit of 823 million, down by 6.5%.
