Err what's a contingency plan? "Na Ka"

The extent of flooding is certain to cause massive shortages of fresh food and drinking water which in turn will result in higher prices for many including the now unemployed who, without an income, may not be able to afford it... Has khun Yingluck a contingency plan should that occur ?

Discussion 8, howell, blowing up roads would not go over very well for the government's or the country's image. Besides, there are a lot of things under those roads, namely the MRT 'underground,' essential sewage drains, water supplies and god knows what else. That's one reason why they thought it was better for them to build a skytrain far above ground instead of expanding the underground. And speaking of the MRT, it has a real possibility of being flooded and if it ever is, it's going to take a big effort with water pumps to get it all drained out.
Note: The MRT Bang Sue station sits very near to the Bang Sue canal (the one authorities are worried will overflow).

A request to BP: You published a very useful map entitled 'Waterworld' in your article entitled 'Bangkok still in Danger' on 18th October, showing the areas of flooding around Bangkok. Could you try to update that and publish daily as I am sure it would help posters to see the overall picture and perhaps even make their comments more expert and informed

Maybe make holes in raised roads ? Blow them up whatever to make them canals and thus a channel to the sea...they can always be repaired. Desperate times call for desperate means.

    Discussion 4.
It was the government, who on Monday, said that the city was safe from flooding. Not the Governor.

Too much talk, to many politicians, too many pseudo experts. Where are the real experts hiding?
