It's a pity the road authority and police allow these maniac vans to drive and cause accidents repeatedly. The officials should realise they have blood on their hands as well. Trucks and taxis are now equipped with GPS and track driving conditions and locations. Van drivers should only get fixed income not by trip so they don't have to drive recklessly.

This is so sad for the victims and families but unfortunately inevitable. It applies everywher but I drive down this road twice a week and am constantly appalled by the behaviour of some drivers but especially the van drivers, the majority drive too fast and way too close to the vehicle in front, It is not uncommon to be driving at 120 Kph with a van 1m away from your rear. Everyone would agree that this kind of driving is an issue but as well as the innaction of the police what about the passengers, we as a society need to speak up and tell these idiots to slow down and drive more sensibly. Last week there was a group of 6 vans run by a well know school transportation company who were fighting with each other, causing a high level of risk to other drivers and generally being a nuisance and they were full of children! Why on earth are the teachers or supervisers apparently doing nothing?

A while ago, I looked at how many cars, pickups & trucks were involved in fatal injuries in Thailand compared with UK. The total was 25 times greater in Thailand you will die, compared with UK per % of vehicles. Don't even have black ice, or freezing fog over here, otherwise it would be 50% greater. Lunatics on the road, and most never passed a proper driving test.

D1; I feel very sorry and I totally agree, that most of the
Van and Bus drivers are out of control. Please, the
government should install cameras and monitor this
reckless drivers, before more and more people die!!

When will Thailand do something about this out of control van drivers? None of them drive the offical speed limit. They are excessive and agressive drivers. I see this everyday. How many people are going to have to die before something is done?
