Court won't halt increase in gas prices

The Central Administrative Court has turned down a request for it to issue an injunction against the government's decision to raise transport sector gas prices.

The court yesterday completed a hearing into a complaint against the prime minister and the cabinet over the government's approval of increases in the prices of compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

After four hours, the court rejected the request for an injunction jointly lodged by Senator Rosana Tositrakul and Saree Ongsomwang, secretary to the Foundation for Consumers.

D4: If Thai people are as poor as you claim they should use bicycles.

The court should have stop the price increase. Aren't Thai people poor enough?
Thai govt seems to be increasing prices on everything.

So all the complaints about the last government giving rebates to those switching to CNG because of the price rise for what they thought was them only, were wrong. The price for LPG went up even higher than CNG.

The taxi drivers are still not allowed to raise their meter fares with the price of fuel going up. They will be made even poorer by this, and the planned monthly raises in fuel prices, yet no increase in their frozen rate charges.

The base supporters of the Thaksin based government should open their eyes to the fact he does not really care about them at all. While he was in office he also refused to raise taxi fares inline with cost increases, as his clone does again. Watch his puppet hand as he picks your pocket with the other one.
