DSI to sue BMA for city train deal

The Department of Special Investigation will prosecute the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration for extending the electric train concession of Bangkok Mass Transit System Plc.

DSI director-general Tarit Pengdith announced the move yesterday after the Interior Ministry informed his organisation that the BMA had no authority to extend the BTS concession.

He will propose on June 27 that the DSI's Special Investigation Committee accept the case.

"Mr Teerachon ..had only hired BTS to run trains on the Green Line continuously after its concession ends in 17 years."

Mr Teerachon obviously felt that if the Dems cannot convince the public, they might as well confuse everyone. IMHO at best Sukhumbhand is negligent in performing his duties, at worst his involvement is too hideous to be uncovered. It is only right for the DSI to sue BMA to uncover yet more unusually wealthy persons associated with the Dems.
