The cabinet on Monday approved the appointment of Prapat Chongsanguan as governor of the State Railway of Thailand as proposed by the Transport Ministry, Transport Minister Chadchat Sittipunt said.
Mr Chadchat said Mr Prapat's selection had been endorsed by the SRT board.
Following the cabinet approval, the Mr Prapat can now assume duty as SRT governor.
At today's meeting, the cabinet also agreed that the next mobile cabinet be held in the third week of January next year in Uttaradit province, government spokesman Tossaporn Serirak said.
