5 more road offences classed 'serious'

The Metropolitan Police Bureau has added five more offences to the list of serious traffic infringements, ahead of the New Year holiday period when traffic accidents always ncrease. 

There were already 12 offences listed on the serious traffic infringement list, which allows for on-the-spot fines to be issued.

These offences relate to speeding, racing, drink-driving and parking in prohibited areas.
