The previous government's plan to introduce a flat-rate ticket price of 20 baht for all mass transit services to encourage greater use of the system has not been considered by the military, a Transport Ministry source says.

The source said the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) did not regard the policy as urgent.

"The plan had been touted by the Pheu Thai Party in its election campaign before it came to government," said the source.
