Eighteen people were hurt when their tour bus overturned and was hit by another coach and a van on a Bangkok highway Thursday.
The 4.30am pileup on inbound Vibhavadi Rangsit highway in Laksi district of Bangkok caused a traffic backup lasting more than an hour, police said.

The incident began when a Nakhon Ratchasima-Bangkok air-conditioned bus crashed into a cement partition and overturned after trying to avoid a six-wheeled truck that cut it off.
A Chiang Mai-Bangkok tour bus then rammed the overturned coach and sustained minor damage. In succession, the second bus was rear-ended by a private van.
Eighteen passengers in the first bus were slightly injured.
