Millions of Britons began voting Thursday in a referendum on the nation's membership of the European Union, with opinion polls suggesting the result is too close to call.

Polling stations remain open until 2200 (4am Friday Bangkok time) and initial results could start to give an indication of the overall outcome by around 0400 (10am Bangkok time) Friday.
