Aussies elect to bowl against Sri Lanka in 1st ODI

COLOMBO - Australian skipper Steve Smith won the toss and elected to bowl first against Sri Lanka in the first one-day international in Colombo on Sunday.

The visitors have opted for leg-spinner Adam Zampa instead of Nathan Lyon while Shaun Marsh has been left out of the starting eleven despite a century in the final Test.

Sri Lanka have handed debuts to left-arm spinners Lakshan Sandakan and Amila Aponso at the R Premadasa Stadium.

Australia are looking for redemption in the five-match series after being whitewashed in the three Tests against the home side.
