Libya leaders face challenge of post-Kadhafi era

Libya's new leaders faced huge pressure on Friday to proclaim liberation and launch the transition to democracy as euphoria gripped the nation over the killing of despot Moamer Kadhafi after his 42-year rule.

Libyan fighters crowd around the body of former leader Moamer Kadhafi in Misrata after he was killed in the fight for his hometown, Sirte. The demise of the hated dictator, who ruled his oil-rich North African nation with an iron rod for close on 42 years, sparked a spontaneous outpouring of joy and celebratory gunfire in streets across Libya.

As news broke at a breakneck pace on Thursday of the death of Kadhafi, of his son Mutassim and other top regime figures during the fall of his hometown Sirte, the National Transitional Council held off on a promised declaration that the country was finally freed.

I do agree discussion 1..however, neither NATO or US will interfere in some places in Africa where people are killed everyday by dictators... the reason is simple...there is no oil in Africa.

Another victory for humanitarian imperialism - where to next - Syria, Iran, maybe Venezuela, it has a dictaor that doesn't like the Gringos and has plenty of oil as well.
