Bloodbath as gunman kills 12 at US Batman screening

A masked attacker gunned down dozens of US moviegoers at the packed premiere of a Batman movie on Friday, killing at least 12 people and wounding almost 40.

Chaos erupted when the gunman tossed some kind of grenade into the audience at a midnight showing of "The Dark Knight Rises," then opened fire on terrified patrons as they scrambled for the exit.

    I agree totally.

    I personally would not like to live in a country were , to carry a gun is considered needed or usual.

    As for the N.R.A. and the American government, i think Winston Churchill summed them up;

    "You can always count on Americans to do the right thing - after they've tried everything else".

    Obviously you don't live in the USA do you? So how can you make such a blatant uneducated statement? The "right to bear arms" has nothing to do with this incident. Statistically it has been proven states that allow concealed weapon permits have lower crime rates. This is one isolated case of an unstable human being, who also booby trapped his apartment with explosives which could have killed many more innocent people had they gone off. Best you take care of your own corrupt country first.

    The right to bear arms in the States has created a situation where people feel the need to protect themselves from something which isnt there . People fear because everyone could be potentially armed .NRA gets a lot of protection from governemnt .
