China Apple strike denied

The electronics giant Foxconn has denied reports that thousands of workers went on strike at one of its plants in China and halted production of components for Apple's iPhone 5.

Apple chief executive Tim Cook (left), visited the iPhone production line at the Foxconn plant in Zhengzhou, in north-central Henan province, in March.

The Taiwan-based company acknowledged that two isolated labour disputes had erupted at its plant in Zhengzhou on Monday and Tuesday, but said they were addressed immediately addressed and production of the phones continued.

company should be forced to move its production back to the USA where they would need to pay livable salaries to their workers and be subject to fair labor laws.

Right on......and how many $2000 cell phones would you be willing to buy?

I don't understand.. My business contact in China have been unavailable for a week due to festivals. Perhaps Foxconn should do the same, reward their workers some few days every year.

They're supposed to work through a national holiday for the sole reason of making some money for this greedy corporation? Too bad, this company should be forced to move its production back to the USA where they would need to pay livable salaries to their workers and be subject to fair labor laws.
