Now that the tax hike has more or less been put out of the way, there remains the issue of the level of federal expenses and where to apportion the cuts. However, there are limits where both parties can find real & meaningful cuts that will not adversely impact on their own constituents. The next drama for the main proponents will be rounds of hassling over whether to cut more of the GOP or DEM programs. Some social programs such as retirement entitlements / health and “ear-marks’ for legislative members will be trimmed but not deep enough to have any appreciable dent on the fiscal deficits.

If the bill does not pass the House of Representatives, then the fault will lay totally with the Republicans. Nothing will satisfy these people except the total destruction of the American government. They are mean spirited and interested only in protecting their multi-millionaire friends at the expense of the American middle class; they have demonstrated this over and over again.
