Thais among Algeria hostages

Algiers - A leader of a gang of kidnappers holding dozens of foreigners at a desert gas field in Algeria said on Thursday Thais are among about 41 hostages.

The kidnapper, identified as Abu al-Baraa, told the Al-Jazeera news channel, that there were "around 41" hostages from several countries - Norway, France, the United States, Britain, Romania, Colombia, Thailand, the Philippines, Ireland, Japan, South Korea and Germany.
