AFP IS CLOSING THIS LIVE REPORT after Nigeria won the Africa Cup of Nations for the third time in their history on Sunday with a deserved 1-0 win over Burkina Faso in the final at Soccer City stadium in Soweto.

Sunday Mba's opportunist strike five minutes before half-time ended up separating the sides, but Stephen Keshi's team should have won by two or three had it not been for some wasteful second-half finishing.
