there is nothing wrong if they would like to find out the cause of his death. It could help them do better next time in caring captive crocs.

What is the point of autopsy? Right in the beginning after this crocodile was caught, it should be properly kept by any countries who have the financial resources and facility to keep this very rare specimen. The whole episode is simply one of great stupidity and a waste of time. By keeping this in a pathetic enclosure is simply foolish and selfish for the development of science. So what if the Philippines carry out the autopsy? Can the crocodile be brought to life again?
