According to a report Google is planning on unifying and rebranding its chat service under the new name "Babble."
According to the report published this week on Geek.com, which cited multiple sources reporting separately, Google is planning on bringing its various chat services, which include Google Talk, Hangout, Voice, Messenger and others, together under the name "Babble."
This new unified and streamlined service would create a cross-platform solution for Google and potentially set up Babble as a competitor with other messaging services such as Apple's iMessage and BlackBerry's Messenger.
