- +

US aerospace giant Boeing conducted a final 787 Dreamliner test flight Friday to assess the proposed battery fix that it hopes will get the grounded jetliner back in the skies.

An ANA Boeing 787 Dreamliner sits in front of the newly opened Everett Delivery Center April 3, 2013 in Everett, Washington. US aerospace giant Boeing said Friday it plans to conduct a final 787 Dreamliner test flight to assess its proposed battery fix later in the day.

"The purpose of the test is to demonstrate that the new system performs as intended during normal and non-normal flight conditions," said Boeing spokesman Marc Birtel.
