Iran rejects blame for nuclear talks failure

Iran and Russia on Tuesday blamed friction among world powers for the failure of talks in Geneva that had come tantalisingly close to a landmark deal on Tehran's nuclear programme.

The two states dismissed US Secretary of State John Kerry's claim that Iran had balked just as the so-called P5+1 world powers were closing in on a deal to curb Tehran's nuclear activities in return for sanctions relief.
