Australian couple 'want Gammy back'

- +

PERTH - The Australian couple at the centre of the surrogate scandal Sunday denied they deliberately abandoned their baby son because he had Down's syndrome and said they would fight to get him back.

Surrogate mother Pattaramon Chanbua (L) holds her baby Gammy, born with Down's syndrome, at the Samitivej hospital in Chonburi province on Aug 4.

David Farnell, 56, a convicted paedophile and the biological father of the boy, Gammy, told Channel Nine he and his wife Wendy had "wanted to bring him with us".
