Cracked window forces landing in Bali

A Thai Airways International flight from Sydney to Bangkok had to make an emergency landing in Bali when the cockpit developed a cracked window.

The window on flight TG476, carrying 107 passengers, began to lose cabin pressure, forcing the landing on the Indonesian resort island at 4.52pm Tuesday, according to a report in the Sydney Morning Herald.

An airline spokesman told news.com.au that the emergency landing at Ngurah Rai International Airport was due to "broken glass" but did not have any further details.

Passengers stayed in Bali overnight and the Thai Airways spokesman said they were scheduled to fly out at 4.05pm Wednesday.
