LOS ANGELES - Two US teenagers arrested on charges of plotting a high-school mass shooting had a "very methodical" plan and wanted to die in the gun battle, police said Tuesday.

Two South Pasadena High School students were arrested on suspicion of plotting a mass shooting at the high school, on August 19, 2014

The 16- and 17-year-olds, who police did not identify, wanted to kill as many people as possible and "planned to die through a shootout with the police," said Arthur Miller, the police chief in the Los Angeles suburb of South Pasadena.
