Greece rejects 'absurd' EU bailout

ATHENS - Greece rejected Monday an opening EU bailout offer as "absurd" and "unacceptable", with a government source saying that "in these circumstances there cannot be a deal today."

People shout slogans and wave Greek flags during an anti-austerity, pro-government rally in front of the Parliament in Athens on February 15, 2015

The source said Athens had been told to respect the existing conditions of the bailout.
