ROSTOV-ON-DON (RUSSIA) - A Russian military court on Tuesday sentenced Ukrainian filmmaker Oleg Sentsov to 20 years on terror charges in a trial condemned by Kiev, rights groups and top film directors.

A judge sentenced Sentsov on charges of heading a terrorist group that carried out and plotted attacks in Crimea after it was annexed by Russia in March last year. His co-defendant, fellow Ukrainian Alexander Kolchenko, was sentenced to 10 years.
