Goffin in for doubles against Britain

GHENT (BELGIUM) - Belgium have brought in their number one David Goffin to partner Steve Darcis for Saturday's key doubles rubber against the Murray brothers of Britain in the Davis Cup final in Ghent.

Belgium's David Goffin made a stunning comeback to beat Britain's Kyle Edmund in five sets in their singles matches in the Davis Cup final in Ghent on November 27, 2015

Darcis had been due to play with youngster Kimmer Coppejans, but captain Johan van Herck opted instead for the greater experience of world number 16 Goffin.

The top Belgian player set the ball rolling on Friday by coming back from two sets to nil down to defeat Britain's Kyle Edmund.

British number one Andy Murray then beat Ruben Bemelmans in straight sets to level the scores at 1-1.

Murray will once again team up with older brother Jamie, the Scottish pairing having won against France and Australia en route to the final.

Britain is looking to win the Davis Cup for the first time since 1936 and 10th time in total, while Belgium have never won the team competition.
