Top French-Swiss chef Benoit Violier found dead at his home: police

GENEVA - Top French-Swiss chef Benoit Violier, 44, of the three-star Michelin restaurant, Restaurant de l'Hotel de Ville, has been found dead at his home in Switzerland, police said on Sunday.

"Late in the afternoon, police... went to Crissier where they discovered at his home the body of Mr Benoit Violier," police said in a statement, adding that it appeared that he had killed himself. Crissier is the location of Violier's restaurant, near the southwestern city of Lausanne.
