Chuvit has the edginess for culture post

So it took Chuvit Kamolvisit to say it. It took a man who once flirted with the threshold of morality, a man who would easily rattle the moral glass house of the Culture Ministry, to say the obvious, on national TV _ nobody wants to be cast into that twilight zone, nobody wants to be handed that dreaded position of the minister of culture.

Give them anything. Give them the Ministry of Dreams, the Ministry of Love or the Ministry of Silly Walks.

Give them the Ministry of Cats or Ministry of Monkeys, but not the Ministry of Culture please.

Chuvit may well be a good fit although the reporter is making a bit of a joke of it. Why not if he's in the cabinet he won't be attacking it that much.

Geoffo, At the movies. Blood, gore, gunfights and all but heaven help us if one of them lights up. Then we get the cigarette warning across the screen. Always amuses me to no end.

Personally I think they should give him that position. I have a feeling there would be some MAJOR changes in things, in a positive way, in regards to what we see.

This guy was hoping for just 1 seat, and ended up getting 4 for his party. This could be a sign of things to come if he can make a name for himself in the coming government over the next few years.

It seems nudity is only tolerated in Thai films if the woman is being raped, preferably in a graphic gang bang. Love scenes are almost always a no-no. I wonder what sort of message the censors think they are sending.

It is bemusing that movies have guns, knives and heaven forbid breasts blotted out by Vaseline but pick up one of the local rags and there is blood and gore and naked flesh splashed all over.

You know, maybe the frowning on sex everything has something to do with the mature age of the Culture Ministry top bods-just a thought.
