Having it their way

The red shirts are back again. Jatuporn Prompan talks about an imminent coup and Nattawut Saikuar says that their struggle is to achieve democracy.

I thought both these luminaries were members of the democratically-elected government of Pheu Thai, and I was under the impression that Thailand was already a democracy, albeit an imperfect one.

Perhaps the red shirts have a different democracy in mind and could enlighten us lesser mortals about the nature of this democracy, or perhaps autocracy?

Quiet Bangkok - not a chance. Thailand is so eager to be 'the hub' of so many things. It's the hub of noise. Even my little northern Thai village had loud music blaring for 12 days until midnight, and each morning before 6 am had amplified monks chanting and/or a religious recording on a tape loop. Did The Buddha ever prescribe amplified chanting for entire villages?

    Having It Their Way .
The UDD has to rally to prove to themselves they haven't been forgotten about .It also serves as a way for Jatuporn to feel he has some worth .
Having Partied Now Pray For The Dead .
I cant imagine how people who lost family ,and had their houses destroyed ,and lost their livelihood felt watching a bunch of government officials stuffing their face to celebrate what a failure they were .
    Hotel Fun Kills Sleep
Hang a banner outside you balcony sending a message for the hotels guests to see that they are disturbing you .Public shaming is a powerful weapon .

In his fanatical pro-Islam rantings, Nick Ferriman conveniently ignores the massacre of its own people by the government of Iran and, as usual, blames the West for all his devils. Muslims love to pretend they are the victims in all cases and Nick Ferriman is their convenient spokesman. As Lenin said of Westerners who backed his revolution: "Useful idiots."

All of the letters may have one common solution. Governments and organizations need far more young women in decision-making positions. There are too many middle-aged to elderly men with fossilized thinking in leading positions.

Nick feel free to support Iran, perhaps you should move there to be with your friends, I am sure you will enjoy all the free speech that you want.
