No more blame games, please

Now that the government appears to have full powers to manage water resources, it must take full responsibility and not try to pass the blame to others if there is another flood this year, or any year.

In case you missed it, here's what Science and Technology Minister Plodprasop Suraswadi had to say shortly before the Constitution Court delivered its ruling on the government’s two executive financial decrees on Wednesday:

RE: D4....BOB FYI I do not even like Thaksin...I hope he never comes back, but most of the allegations against him are extremely exaggerated and unproven...they are allegations just as you are making here with out even a charge filed. The one he was convicted on in my opinion was bogus as the land auction was public and open for all to bid. I can not for the life of me see any conflict....
If I compare him to any other PM i can see no more or no less corruption. And if you will notice I do not claim he is innocent. He is gone for a reason and that is not it.

Back to this water management what do you see wrong with the plan? And how can you allege that it is wrong when you have not even seen it?

But the opposition claimed last year’s flooding was completely a natural disaster. So if it were to happen again, would it not still be considered a natural disaster? I believe the critics should step back and let the government get on with their work. The opposition is fully capable of providing legitimate oversight of the government's handling of the invested money in water management.

    Exactly.
Peua Thai can do no wrong in the eyes of the misled.
If Thaksin was caught red-handed robbing a bank, his followers would claim it was a set-up or an honest mistake.

    Khun Verra
Please tell me where I am wrong.
You to take a problem that has plagued the country more and more for 40 years (no administration has been excepted) and throw it at the feet of the PM and say the flood season starts in 2-3 months, now you fix before 3 months or we will have something else to blame you for.
There has been a lack of planning and a lack of flood control for the entire 40 years ( also with no administration excepted) with massive over building and blocking of the natural drainage for the entire time. Can you in all honesty think that this massive undertaking can actually be complete and 40 years of neglect will have been reversed and totally solved in 2 or 3 months?? I await your reply respectfully.

First, I wouldn't call that a tirade. There is no volley of abusive words to qualify that but a rather sarcastic remark. That it is aiming at the DP is not surprising after the shenanigans that they pull to be heard. Also little suprise that the PT has little confidence in the judgement of the CC Afterall this same court throw out the dissolution case leveled against the DP. Now I hope the government will carry out this important task efficiently and effectively and spare us from another devastating flood, while unless the DP pull another stunt to thwart the progress and made the PT looks bad.

"Nor can it attempt to place blame on the amataya clique the way it did last year through a conspiracy theory, accusing the elite bureaucracy of trying to subvert the government ..."

Oh, they can't, now? When the next flood hits, just turn on red radio, tv, or chat up any taxi driver and see who will be getting the blame.
