Hello 2013. Though the holiday feeling has slowly dissipated from the air, it has been replaced with a new sense of vigour and rejuvenation. The New Year celebrated a resetting of the clock, a new start, a do-over for the past year. It's an occasion when we look towards something positive and refreshing, to begin a new cycle with optimism and to achieve new goals.
The tradition of trying to fulfil New Year's resolutions is in full swing. Many have flocked to the gym and fitness classes to get a head start on losing weight for the year. Bloggers have already posted initial attempts at realising their resolutions. Some have already started dieting in pursuit of a healthier lifestyle. Others have begun meditation classes in order to replace stress with calmness and focus.
Sadly, the statistics on people keeping their resolutions linger around 10% or so.
