DSI backpedals on police stations scandal

Out of the blue, the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) suddenly decided not to summons Democrat party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva and his former deputy Suthep Thaugsuban for interrogation in connection with the alleged corruption in the construction of 396 police stations across the country.

Even Mr Abhisit appeared puzzled by the unexpected decision, which is in sharp contrast to the zeal initially shown by DSI chief Tarit Pengdit in pursuing the case against the former prime minister and Mr Suthep, his former deputy prime minister.

“Does this mean that I and Khun Suthep had nothing to do with the (corruption) scandal?” Mr Abhsit said in response to a reporter’s question about the DSI’s sudden about turn.

brilliant ASTV/Manager are not considered as "mainstream media". But by all means, keep trying.

ringmaster - And as I've often said, I'll take that as reds are too lazy, disingenuous or just plain don't want to know the truth by doing some research of their own. Spend about 30 seconds and enlighten yourself instead of always expecting someone else to do your work. I PROMISE you that the links you will find are main stream media and not a tired gossip rag that you depend on for the "truth".

"I'll take that as a no."

" And, yes, ask your fellow red, peterd, he can provide the multiple links I sent him about Pongsapat. Funny, haven't heard a word from him since."

brilliant My apologies if you felt I attacked you. I was only correcting the record. I think you know this. And I didn't realize I had to ask you about Thaksin and the deaths under him.

The Houston Post did merge into the Houston Chronicle sometime ago, I still call it the Post - just out of habit. As for your proof about Pongsapat; I'll take that as a no.

ringmaster - funny you attack me for saying a junk gossip rag, but not for asking about Thaksin and the deaths under him. No defense.

  • Discussion 34 : 24 Feb 2013 at 01.1234

ringmaster - you actually claimed you saw Thaksin also which seems weird considering you told me you live in Dallas and you supposedly saw him in Houston. You also said it was reported in the Houston Post, a newspaper that hasn't existed for many years. And, yes, ask your fellow red, peterd, he can provide the multiple links I sent him about Pongsapat. Funny, haven't heard a word from him since.

d32 brilliant Shelby Hodge's articles are about society and culture in Houston. They are hardly a "junk gossip rag" and you know full well it didn't report "Bigfoot eating with Obama".

Also, I am not obsessed with defending him. Otherwise I wouldn't have sent you the link. Because in that article Thaksin was seen with Steve Payne - a notorious figure in the US.

Speaking of proof... Any luck in obtaining "actual evidence" that Pongsapat was arrested in the US for stealing a radio? Perhaps it was Bigfoot?

ringmaster - "d29 englishbob You seem to have an obsession with Thaksin for some reason"

And you're obsessed with defending him. Even to the point of making false claims about seeing him in Houston, TX and claiming it was reported in a local newspaper that turned out to be a junk gossip rag that also said they saw Bigfoot eating with Obama in Washington DC that same day.
Why not start with Thaklsin? His war on drugs was certainly a precedent that resulted in the deaths of between 2,500 and 3,000 people without due process.

d29 englishbob You seem to have an obsession with Thaksin for some reason. You're so focused on his crimes that you fail to see crimes by anyone else.

"And because Thaksin came before Abhisit, HE is the focal point that needs to be addressed." And while you were waiting on getting Thaksin - along comes Abhisit and Suthep. Do you want everyone to look away while they commit murder and corruption? Don't investigate them because Thaksin came first? Well, Thaksin didn't exactly come first. There are some previous PMs which we should investigate too.
