These races have been held around the world _ Monte Carlo, Silverstone and, closer to home, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, to name just a few.
You guys, protesters, are being pretentious and selfish! This multibillion-baht event could generate more money for the tourism industry. And the money will trickle down and multiply to the locals in the square during the event.
This is going to be the best international coverage our tourism industry can get. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Democracy Monument and Sanam Luang will be an unparalleled backdrop for an F1 race. If Singapore had its own historical venue or a gorgeous temple with a legacy that can be traced back over centuries, it would have offered the place as an option, instead of skyscrapers on reclaimed land.
