The extension was done in secrecy and lack of transparency.

The court will decide the legitimacy of the contract but the question is why was it needed so many years in advance. It raises suspicion.

I don't care who runs it as long as they run it right and keep it at it's peak; It is at it's peak right now but the situation will deteriorate. The plan to wait 10 years to get more trains is insane. They need to run more trains at peak times because nobody likes squeezing in like sardines in a can. As they extend the lines, mega-condos and shopping centers get built along the routes and popularity increases it will only get worse.

You can be 100% sure that if the governor of Bangkok belonged to Pheu Thai, there would be absolutely no question of his authority to extend the contract. This is simply sour grapes.

The Skytrain is about the only thing that is modern and efficient in Bangkok.
    It's fast, it's clean, it's cheap, it's safe, it's popular.
Tripadvisor rates it 4.5 out of 5.

BMA ensured this success would continue.
Peua Thai are simply after a slice of the cake.

BMA has the right to extend, but the law that they are rubbing on is kind of a grey area. Even if they have the right to extend, it doesn't expire in another decade and a half, they should not have renewed the contract without a bidding process.
