A not very religious Pakistani friend told me the US would do much better by pouring money into developing Pakistan's schools than the military. He said Pakistan does not have enough public schools, and poor families have to send their sons to the madrassas (religious schools), where they become radicalised. The US support to Pakistan's military goes back to the Cold War, when Pakistan was a friend and India tended to side more with Russia. It is hard to justify these days. Put the money into education instead.

Drones are the most cowardly and disgusting weapon ever developed and their use is made worse by the obvious fact that America's only real interest in that region is oil. Yes, seeing innocent persons killed by these things along with fighters only worsens the hatred of America while justifying the existance of the Taliban

Absolutely not - The Taliban have been around since the 1990's and Pakistan actually supported the Taliban financially. Now Pakistan harbors the Taliban inside their border to assist in cross-border raids. Blaming the USA is just another way of trying to point the finger of blame somewhere else and to keep themselves in power and money.
