It's not about tax or tariffs'. The fines that the US companies are hoping for, after a "deal", goes right into their pockets, after a huge sum have gone into the pockets of the US lawyers who are the real bandits' in this affair. The US "legal" system is at best a bad joke!

Thailand puts HUGE tariffs on imported goods (especially cars) to protect its local industries.
Why shouldn't other Countries do the same? If Thailand can impose tariffs, then why are the upset about the treatment they get from other countries?Discussion 1 : 24 Jan 2013 at 07.551
It seems like typical Thai behavior, which we farangs don’t understand, demands that every real Thai must be upset if another country even thinks loud about something which might not be 100% right in Thailand. Next think we blame the USA for pointing out that pirated good are sold in Thailand. TiT
