When isn't North Korea mercilessly retaliating against something.

Anti-American dissent is bred in the North Korean people from kindergarten age. North Korean state-produced films - the only kind permitted there - with such a plot might already be shown to the people, if not also in the schools. In terms of media mind control, the difference between NK and the US is the manner by and degree to which its state propaganda is delivered. To offer an answer, though no more meaningful than the question, the other foot has much more to concern itself with.

@ravbrat.... The USA and "the others".... WOW... you sure think you are the only country on earth with free speech.

It's far from clear what the intent of "a big ruckus if the shoe was on the other foot" is. Exactly what are you trying to ask? Don't make us guess. Do you mean world reaction to a NK produced film about the assassination of a non-NK leader? Uhhh, don't they already do that, but as distribution is limited to the NK population other countries neither know nor care? As "I don't understand the question" is the number two favorite poll choice, and the very fact that it was even given as a choice says a lot.

D#2 if North Korea had the ability to make a movie about the killing of an American President or any other world leader it would be laughed at. Finger pointing, complaining, get a real life, the guy is a squid.

"If the shoe were on the other foot", meaning if North Korea made a movie about killing the American President or any other World leader there certainly would be a lot of finger pointing and complaining, and it would not be seen as harmless entertainment. Sadly with their endless terrorist movies and mindless comedies Hollywood has become a propaganda machine for Western governments.

That is one of the big differences between the USA and others - we have the ability to laugh at ourselves and to criticize our leaders in public. If people want to make a film of us that mocks who we are, they are free to do so. Hatred can not be erased, ignorance can be resolved through education but stupidity is a choice. People regularly speak bad of us (as they will to this post), but that's OK, go ahead bring it on, we can take it.
