We have added quite a bit of new material today and here are a few things that might interest you.
We have had a very good response from readers on our second day of existence, propelling our section surprisingly high in our statistical rankings – behind only news, business and opinion. There is obviously a demand for educational material among our readers.
We have added quite a bit of new material today and here are a few things that might interest you:
I did a quick five-minute grammar lesson based on a short story I read last night in the Post Database section. It is the kind of thing you can easily produce with newspaper material. I think parents and children will find it fun too. http://bit.ly/b0HKDc
Jon Fernquest has been very busy over the past two days. You will find his material mainly in the “learning from news section”. With a masters in economics, he is our expert on the business section, but, as you will see, he has many other interests as well. Here are a few examples of his material:

Easy English news has long been popular with teachers since, as the name implies, the stories are easier and shorter than regular news stories. I still retain much of the original vocabulary, however, so they are a challenge. Your students might enjoy today’s story on motorcycle taxi drivers. http://bit.ly/9obF3s
Finally, a reader from Germany contacted me today and pointed at that the story in instant lesson was not completely accurate. I have added his comments to the end of the lesson. They are very interesting. I also corrected some of the typing mistakes he pointed out. http://bit.ly/de7jog
