Suggestions for teachers and parents (September 22)

To be honest, maintaining this site has been much harder than I expected it would be. Hopefully, when we learn the system better, I’ll have more time for suggestions.

Obviously, today’s main highlighted story will be of interest to many of your students and it will be good background for the coming events which culminate in the Thailand Open next week. Have students look for events they think will be in the news this week and next (the tree planting ceremony, the visit to the PM and, of course the tournament.)  http://bit.ly/9Cb7vL

You might also take a look at the simple present tense lesson. http://bit.ly/ayP1EA  Students love the video and will want to see it more than once. It does make the point that the present is not about the moment but about more general or habitual activities and situations. My book has a lot of detail on this.
