Man says I do twice

MELBOURNE: A newly-wed woman discovered her husband was already married when she saw his wedding pictures on Facebook.

The woman, named as Ms Hiu, made the shock find less than a month after marrying her husband, known as Mr Ling, in February.

The woman, who sought an annulment, said Mr Ling travelled to Hong Kong to marry his former girlfriend in December — just weeks before his second wedding.

‘‘He had told me he went to China to visit his family,’’ Ms Hiu told the Family Court in Melbourne.

Mr Ling is facing possible prosecution for bigamy, which has a maximum penalty of five years in jail.
