Jazz from Texas

- One O'Clock Lab Band, the premiere performing ensemble of the internationally acclaimed University of North Texas jazz studies programme in the US, will be performing as part of the 15th ''World Saxophone Congress'' which is running at Mahidol University until July 12. Noted for exceptional individual musicianship and tight ensemble performance, the group has toured internationally with great success over the decades. The band also performed for HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej in 1967.

Over 100 participating artists include Modern Dog, Groove Riders, Tor Saksit, Friday, Stamp, Lipta, Koi & Yong, Monotone, Bee-Peerapat, Thaitanium, Flure, Slot Machine, Scrubb, The Begins and Brand New Sunset. Besides the mini stage in the Forum Zone, there are a display of art works and sales of goods by the artists at the Eden Zone, while the Atrium Zone is turned into a gallery showcasing creative photographs from album covers.

Piano recital

- D&M Music Studio presents a piano recital by Dr Juyeon Kang, a concert artist and educator lauded as a pianist of formidable technique and exquisite sound. The programme features Bach's Partita No. 3 in A Minor, BWV 827; Beeth oven's Polonaise in C Major, Op 89, Piazzolla's Tango Suite (arranged by Kyoko Yamamoto) and Schumann's Davidsbundlertanze, Op 6 (Dances of the League of David). The concert will repeat at AUA Language Centre in Chiang Mai on July 15 at 7pm.

Prior to the concert, there is an auction of favourite items belonging to famous artists, singers and stars. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Foundation for the Deaf under the royal patronage of HM the Queen.
