The Embassy of Italy in cooperation with Bangkok's Italian chefs and food and beverage importers and St Regis Bangkok will organise a charity gala dinner to raise funds for flood victims. The event will take place in the Astor Ballroom of St Regis Bangkok hotel on Wed, Jan 18 at 7:30pm.
Presenting the six-course gourmet dinner menu, which will be paired with extraordinary Italian wines, are six of Bangkok's celebrated Italian chefs from leading hotels and restaurants. They are Norbert Kostner of the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, Leonardo Concezzi of the St Regis Bangkok, Antonio Facchinetti of Anantara Bangkok Riverside, Gianmaria Zanotti of Zanotti Ristorante Italiano & Balin, Luca Appino of La Bottega di Luca, and Stefano Grano of Ristorante Enoteca.
The evening begins with a pre-dinner cocktail at 7pm during which Italian cold and hot bites will be served. After guests proceed to the Ballroom, a six-course gala dinner will commence _ each course prepared and presented by each participating chef.
The gourmet specialities, prepared from exclusive Italian ingredients, features slow-cooked cold veal in tuna mayonnaise sauce and homemade pickles; eggplant Parmigiana, Petra extra virgin olive oil cold pressed November 2011 ice cream; guinea fowl and cepes mushroom ravioli with rosemary pan-jus whisked with unsalted butter; risotto Carnaroli with king prawns, pork cheek and seasonal mushrooms; monk fish sous vide in Laudato extra virgin olive oil, celeriac dim sum and Navelli Abruzzo saffron foam; and nougat parfait with praline sauce.
Tickets are priced at 35,000 baht per table of eight people, or 5,000 baht per person.
