The photos, shared with reporters, show a young elephant with tusks, lying dead in the forest.

Large-scale tusk smuggling has reached a record high this year, with at least 2,500 dead elephants used for ivory.

Customs officials say that the tusks were discovered inside television boxes as they were inspecting a container in Port Klang outside Kuala Lumpur.
