Man shot, wounded in Pattani

A man was seriously wounded in a gun attack in Pattani's Sai Buri district on Sunday morning.
Pol Col Aziz Umayi, the Sai Buri police chief, said the incident took place at about 7am while Topa Tuka, 45, was on his way back to his home village in tambon Tabing on a motorcycle along Highway 42 between Cho Kuyae village and Sai Buri.
Two men followed him on another motorcycle and the pillion rider opened fire at him with a .38 pistol, hitting him three times in the body, before fleeing.
Topa, who was seriously wounded, was admitted to Pattani Hospital.
Police are investigating.
