SMALL PEOPLE
We celebrated Visakha Bucha Day yesterday but I hope it's not too late to talk about religion in this column.

I took this shot at Sathira Dhammasathan dhamma centre a while ago. My mission was to take photos of nun Mae Chee Sansanee Sthirasuta who runs the centre.
Once the assignment was over, I took the chance to walk around the peaceful hideaway, located just outside the heart of the ever-bustling Bangkok. And I encountered this group of people during their walking meditation. I tried to capture the peaceful moment from different corners without disturbing them.
Sifting through my photo album, I find different feelings in each photo I took.
This one is my favourite. The reflection of the faithful on the still water surface well reflects the mindfulness of the practice.
My intention was to capture the legs of the practitioners and their reflection in water. In this practice, legs are the focus of the meditation. Practitioners slowly move forward but they also have to stay mindful of their every pace.
