The Neilson Hays Library is presenting two exhibitions that open today: "Rural Scenery & Nudes" by Thai artist Chahn Sutarapong and "Blue, Breathing, Orange, The Humidity" by Japanese artist Asano Yuko.

Veteran artist Chahn,well-known for painting portraits, nudes and laborious landscapes, will showcase about 30 paintings.

Asano's works are inspired by things she finds exciting about Thailand, which she visited nine years ago: the bright colours, strong sunshine, the slow pace of life, energetic people, living plants and old buildings.
